Every Nailé set contains 30 press-on nails in 15 sizes, with two nails of each size. Fit each natural nail individually before applying any Gluetabs.
Step 1 — Match the width
Choose a press-on that covers the natural nail from side to side while staying inside the natural-nail boundaries.
Step 2 — Check the curve
The press-on should sit close to the natural nail without rocking, springing upward, or leaving a visible central gap.
Step 3 — Check comfort
The nail should not pinch, press into skin, or cause pain. Discomfort means the size or shape is not suitable.
Step 4 — Pre-select every nail
Lay out all ten press-ons before cleansing and applying. Keep the moulded size number facing the nail tip.
Between sizes
Press-on nails: If you are between two press-on sizes, choose the smaller size only if it still covers the nail comfortably. Do not use a larger nail that extends onto the skin, and do not force a smaller nail that creates pressure.
Gluetabs: Choose a Gluetab that covers as much of the natural nail as possible without touching skin. If you are between Gluetab sizes, the larger tab may be suitable only when it remains fully inside the natural nail.
Important distinction: Smaller may be appropriate for the press-on. Larger may be appropriate for the Gluetab. Skin contact is never acceptable.
Length changes the fit
The same press-on can look and feel different on two people. A longer nail bed places more of the mould on the natural nail, while a shorter nail bed may leave more free edge or less attachment area.
Curve matters as much as width
A press-on that matches the width but not the natural curve may rock, lift, pinch, or leave gaps. Choose the shape that follows the natural nail most closely.
A press-on should never hurt. Remove it immediately and try another size or shape if you feel pressure or pain.
Fit troubleshooting
- The nail pinches — press-on is too small or too curved. Try a larger size or flatter shape.
- The sidewalls touch skin — press-on is too large. Choose a smaller size that still covers the nail.
- The nail rocks — curvature does not match. Try another size or shape.
- A centre gap remains — press-on may be too curved. Try a flatter shape.
- The nail springs upward — shape or curvature is incompatible. Stop and change shape.
- It lifts quickly — fit, preparation, or Gluetab coverage may be incomplete. Re-prepare and check fit before reapplying.
- It hurts — fit is incorrect. Remove immediately; never force it.
Short, bitten, or unusual nail beds
Nailé press-ons work best when there is enough natural-nail surface for attachment. Very short or bitten nails, hammer thumbs, unusually flat nails, or strongly curved nails may need individual fit support. Contact us for fit help.
Filing for fit
You may gently refine the width or cuticle edge with the included file. Test on an unused size first, work slowly, and stop if the layers begin to separate. Filing cannot correct a major curvature mismatch.
