A clean, dry nail surface and a comfortable fit are the foundation of a better result. Take your time, prepare every nail, and stop if anything feels painful.
Before you begin
- Remove nail polish, oil, cream, and other products.
- Keep the complete set and tools within reach.
- Pre-select all ten press-ons before applying adhesive.
- Work one hand at a time.
- Apply the thumbs last.
Step 1 — Wash and dry
Wash your hands thoroughly, then dry them completely. Moisture, oil, and residue can weaken the Gluetab bond. Tip: do not apply immediately after using hand cream or cuticle oil.
Step 2 — Choose every press-on
Match each press-on to the natural nail before applying any Gluetabs. The nail should cover from side to side without touching skin or causing pressure. Keep the moulded size number facing the nail tip. Between sizes, choose the smaller press-on only if it still covers the nail comfortably.
Step 3 — Push back cuticles
Use the included cuticle tool to push back the cuticles gently. Clear the nail plate without scraping, cutting, or causing injury.
Step 4 — Lightly buff
Use the nail file to remove surface shine with light strokes. Do not thin or aggressively file the natural nail.
Step 5 — Cleanse
Remove dust and wipe each natural nail with the alcohol wipe. Allow it to dry, then avoid touching the prepared surface. If touched, cleanse the nail again before applying the Gluetab.
Step 6 — Choose and apply the Gluetab
Select a Gluetab that covers as much of the natural nail as possible without touching skin. Apply it to the natural nail and rub firmly with a finger or the cuticle tool. Remove the protective film carefully. If the tab is cold or feels less adhesive, warm the sheet briefly between your hands before use.
Do not:
- place adhesive on skin
- use a moisturizing wipe
- reuse a worn Gluetab
- leave folded edges that create uneven pressure
Step 7 — Position the press-on
Hold the press-on at a slight angle, approximately 45 degrees where practical. Place it close to the cuticle edge without pushing beneath the skin.
Step 8 — Press for 20 seconds
Fold the press-on down over the Gluetab and press firmly across the entire nail for 20 seconds. Maintain even pressure, then release slowly. Apply the dominant hand first and the thumbs last.
This should never hurt. Stop and choose another size or shape if you feel pressure or pain.
Step 9 — Protect the first hour
Avoid water for the first hour after application. File the tip gently only if needed.
After-application fit check
Check that every press-on sits within the natural nail boundaries, feels comfortable, and remains close to the nail without rocking. Remove and reapply any nail that touches skin or causes discomfort.
Early-care guidance
- Avoid water for the first hour.
- Avoid using the tips as tools.
- Wear gloves when using strong household cleaners.
- Wipe chemical exposure away promptly.
- Replace a lifting Gluetab rather than pressing a loose nail back onto contaminated adhesive.
